Video tutorials and demonstrations are more effective than written articles. Although videos can make things much easier for the viewer, the one who creates them may have a hard time preparing a recording process. Gadwin ScreenRecorder can make this operation straightforward and easy. The application was created with ease of use in mind, so it won't present any challenges to any user, regardless of experience. Thanks to its out of the box functionality, you can start recording your screen at a moment's notice, with a single click.

Gadwin ScreenRecorder works on Windows XP and all later editions. It doesn't ask for too many resources, but it requires MS Media Player 9 or a later version. Installing the software takes only a few seconds and there are no complex settings to be made along the way.

The software comes with a compact user interface, which displays only a timer and a record button. Despite its simple appearance, Gadwin ScreenRecorder provides a large number of useful options. The interface can be expanded, to reveal the aforementioned options, as well as a recordings history. You can set the application to show a countdown timer before it starts to record, use a different cursor, set up your own hotkeys, select a recording area, an output path and more. Besides saving your recordings in a local folder, Gadwin ScreenRecorder can also perform a few automatic actions, like uploading the videos to YouTube, opening the output folder or copying its path to the clipboard.

One of Gadwin ScreenRecorder's best features can be observed when recording a selected area. If you enable the auto-pan function, on the main interface, the selected area will be moved automatically, to follow the mouse cursor. Also, the software can restore the cursor's position if you pause and resume the recording. Finished recordings are listed in chronological order, on the same user interface. They are grouped in separate folders, based on their creation date. You only need to double click a listed recording to play it.

Pros

You can start recording your screen with a single click. The application is capable of recording sounds as well. Its auto-pan feature will make a selected area of the screen follow the mouse cursor.

Cons

You can't choose an output format for your recordings. Recording the screen, along with any system sounds, can be done as fast and efficiently as possible with Gadwin ScreenRecorder.
